"Once the Olympics conclude, skier
Bode Miller will trade in his skis for a tennis racket in an attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open in August.
The USTA announced on Tuesday that they will create a playoff system that will open up two spots in the U.S. Open -- one on each men's and women's side -- for the winners of a series of qualifying tournaments held from April until August. Any USTA member 14-years and older who can pay the $125 entry fee has a chance to play their way into Flushing Meadows."
This story baffles me. You have hands down one of the best skiiers in the world switching to tennis. This reminds me of MJ switching to baseball. Things like this don't just happen overnight. At least MJ was handed a spot on the White Sox farm team. Bode Miller will have to compete for his. $125 and I got a shot to crush Bode Millers tennis dreams. Sign me up. When the Eagles go invincible and have open tryouts again look for Bode Miller to be the first to sign up Also when a 14 year old does beat you say goodbye to your smoking hot girl, because she'll be doing squats on whoevers face is next to be flying down the slopes
