The sandwich was called the Big Crunch.
A customer of a KFC outlet in Maple, north of Toronto, claims he found a cockroach embedded in the bottom of a sandwich he ordered Friday night.
Michael McNamara, 28, of Richmond Hill says he was big-time bugged by the nasty find.
York Region Community and Health Services spokesman Monica Bryce confirms a health inspector paid a visit to the KFC restaurant Saturday.
Bryce says the inspector didn't find any evidence that warranted closing the restaurant, but did find one pest-control trap with a dead roach in it.
Bryce says an inspector will return to the restaurant again on Monday.
KFC officials didn't immediately return a phone call or e-mail Saturday.
You buy a big crunch, you better expect to get a cockroach in it for that big crunch. Is this story surprising to anyone? It isn't the Commonman Restaurant its friggen KFC. You got Jose with no marking papers making $6.05 an hour throwing cockroaches in there. If you dont want a cockroach stop being fat hit up a Shaws and cook for yourself.
