The Reason America is Fat and Dumb

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - It was a Zinger of a theft in Tennessee.

It also included cupcakes, Twinkies and other snack cakes from the Merita Bread Company.

The Kingsport Times-News cites a report from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office in reporting 34-year-old James M. Denoon and 18-year-old Anthony Stout were found hiding under a truck at the bakery late Friday night.

The deputies found about $300 worth of stolen snack cakes stacked on the ground nearby.

Finding the accused thieves was easy: The deputies only had to follow their footprints. There was more than an inch of snow on the ground by Friday night.

Denoon and Stout were charged with theft under $500 and two counts of auto burglary. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.

Who robs twinkies? Like isnt there a Best Buy store around go snatch a couple PS3's. Didn't know Twinkies were so valuable on the black market these days. Also to rob $300 dollars worth, isn't each box only like two bucks? Were they really found underneath the car with 150 boxes of twinkies, thinking they had avoided the police?

What makes this story that more ironic is that this is not the first Twinkie robbery I have heard of in the last few weeks. As I was sitting at the Red Arrow a few weeks ago, in comes this really goofy looking kid. He decides to grab Twinkies off the shelf and book it! Are Twinkies making people crazy? You be the judge

Airlines forcing Obese people to purchase two seats

PARIS (Reuters) – Air France KLM denied media reports on Wednesday that it planned an extra charge for overweight passengers if they were unable to fit into a single seat.
Instead, the national carrier said that from Feb 1. overweight passengers who had freely chosen to buy an extra seat for comfort would get their money back on flights that were not fully booked.
"Contrary to reports in the press this morning, Air
France is not planning to force corpulent passengers to pay for a second seat," the statement said.
Air France said that since 2005 it had offered overweight passengers an option to buy a second seat at a 25 percent discount.
"It is not an obligation; we suggest to such passengers they buy a second seat for their own comfort and in order to be sure the seats are adapted to their needs. If the plane is not full, they can get a refund," Air France spokesman Jean-Pierre Lefebvre said.
Several newspapers had reported that obese passengers flying Air France-KLM would have to pay 75 per cent of the cost of a second seat on top of the full price for the first seat, and that the measure was introduced for safety reasons.

I am 100% for any airline making the overweight passenger pay for a second seat and it’s about time because there’s been too many flights I’ve been on when I’m stuck in the middle seat on a packed flight between Rosie O’Donnell and the mother from What’s eating Gilbert Grape and all I can smell is fried chicken seeping from their pours and them sounding like they need an oxygen tank to breathe. So I’m glad 2010 has kicked off on the right foot because if you can’t fit in the seat should you really be flying?
